New release (2.6.8)
New taxonomy catalog and features.
In this new edition of the XBRL tools we have updated the taxonomy catalog and the Catalog Manager tool. As always, there are new features in the tools and new functionality added.
Visit the downloads page and update to the new version. Don't forget you are allowed to download and install the upgrades if you have signed a maintenance contract or you have purchased the tool within the last 12 months.
III SEMINAR XBRL-IFRS
The next 24th and 25th of March 2010 there will be the third XBRL IFRS seminar at the Club El Golf 50 in Santiago, Chile. The Seminar (Preparing Financial Reports in XBRL using the new Taxonomy IFRS 2010 published by the SVS) is organized by DFC, Reporting Standard S.L. and BR-AG.

XBRL International has updated the Technical Roadmap. The document represents a tentative calendar for the development of the mode XBRL modules and Specifications.
Reporting Standard, as a member of the technical groups, participates and contributes to the development of the XBRL standard and, at the same time, we are currently implementing the specifications of the future.

Born in September 2008, and since then, more than 2.000 people tried it in the first 6 months. Now, this tool has turned into a MUST HAVE for companies and people that wants to review the content of their XBRL reports before they are submitted to a regulator or published on the Internet. DEMO REGULATORS
Reporting Standard DEMO CENTER

The new demo center will host prototypes of XBRL platforms and tools for different user profiles. We have started with a demo center for regulators willing to use XBRL and including the most commonly demanded services. That is; entry forms, XBRL reception and validation, confirmation of acceptance, storage in the XBRL Database and simple services to review the database content.

But IT IS A REALITY. With all the content from the XBRL Database installed in the demo center we have now created an XBRL Search Engine that search for information within the whole database content. The Search Engine utilizes a new query language called XBRLq that you can learn in less than 2 minutes. The language is based on plain English sentences that includes a what you are searching for (companies, reports or facts) and the search conditions. A simple example on an XBRLq query is companies using concept by label revenue and value < 10000000.
