XBRL and standards in Europe

Last Monday November 18th, 2013 took place at the headquarters of the Bank of Spain an event organized by the Association XBRL Spain. The subject of debate  of this event was XBRL and standards in Europe. The event was attended by members of the institution, as well as representatives of banks and other institutions interested in the standard. Reporting Estándar had also representation on the act with the presence of its CTO Ignacio Hernández-Ros.

As a summary of the day, we should highlight the progress in the use of transmission standards for financial and business information that is being conducted in European institutions. One of the key factor of this progress is the importance of the concept of inter-operability as a key factor.
