We welcome Turkey to the XBRL standard

XBRL International has granted XBRL Turkey the Jurisdiction status. This new jurisdiction is a “joint venture” of key public and private organisations. Soon this jurisdiction will spearhead the implementation of XBRL for digital business reporting in the country.

Additionally this jurisdiction have comprised to key stakeholders from the regulatory, academic and business communities. These stakeholders includes the Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank of Turkey. Then we can say that, the establishment of a Jurisdiction in Turkey represents the first step in an ambitious effort to utilise XBRL in this country for a wide range of corporate and regulatory reporting.

Last Monday November 18th, 2013 took place at the headquarters of the Bank of Spain an event organized by the Association XBRL Spain. The subject of debate  of this event was XBRL and standards in Europe. The event was attended by members of the institution, as well as representatives of banks and other institutions interested in the standard. Reporting Estándar had also representation on the act with the presence of its CTO Ignacio Hernández-Ros.

Reporting Estándar has already started the project on the AIN (Internal Audit of the Nation), by which the institution will be provided with the design and the implementation of the electronic Financial Statements registration based in XBRL technology.
